          Current California Nurse Practitioner License
          Speciality Board Certification
          Minimum 3 years experience in Women's Health (OB/GYN)
          State Li9cense with Prescriptive Authority required
          Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
          Basic computer skills
          Drivers license required
          CPR Certification

Description:
The Nurse Practitioner provides primary health care to women with emphasis on reproductive helath concersn.  The Nurse Practitioner utilizes the process of assessment, diagnosis, management, coordination, collaboration, monitoring and evaluation under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.
          Obtain comprehensive helath history
          Perform complete physical assessment with emphasis on the reproductive system
          Orders, performs and interprets screening tests
          Provides periodic health assessment appropriate to the client's age and developmental status
          Provides clinical management, including therapeutic procedures for women with gynecological problems
          Provides comprehensive family planning care
          Provides prenatal and postpartum care, including attention to maternal, fetal health and patient/infant relationships
          Identifies complicated pregnancies and collaborates, as necessary, with physicians and other health care providers for management /referral
          Provides case management across the continuum of care work with Clinic Medical Director in providing care to patients.
          Recommends diagnostic and therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, invasiveness, efficiency and cost
          Collaborates with other health care providers to achieve optimal health care outcome
          Develops educational approaches and materials that are responsive to the learning needs / behavioral goals of the individual / community
          Participates on the Quality Program for the clinic
          Develops and maintains clinical policies and procedures for the clinic, according to the hospital's requirements
          Provides education and counseling with an emphasis on the needs of the indiviual and the family
